first_imgThe Grand Opening for the Enerplex has been delayed until September of next year. The City made the announcement on Tuesday. The Grand Opening was initially slated for November 27th of this year. In September, the province announced that the Enerplex had qualified for the Build Canada Grant. This means the city will receive $2.5 million in funding from each senior level of government, providing it kicks in another $2.5 million of its own. – Advertisement -Because of this extra funding, City Manager Dianne Hunter says the City has decided to create an outdoor civic space at the Enerplex, delaying the grand opening.
