Plane crashes in Los Angeles National Forest

first_imgLA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. (AP) — A small plane crashed Thursday in the rugged Angeles National Forest, killing the pilot, officials said. The plane went down shortly after 3 p.m., and searchers found the wreckage about 40 minutes later, said Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman German Aguilera. The pilot was dead at the scene, and rescuers continued searching the area “just in case,” Aguilera said.
